Adding a tech item to inventory, expands knowledge with all known locations even if not visited.
So a minor one but I found it a bit world "breaking" for me. Not sure when it was added but when picking up certain items ( elements, transformers , metallic parts etc ), I see the knowledge base is expanded with the entry as normal but it now also lists all locations where the item can be found. This makes sense late game but if a player just started ( on my new run and only hit a second comms tower ) , I would not know about the types of other locations yet. For example, on the radar, new locations have ? as a icon. But in the knowledge base they are fully populated with names and symbols. Can it be considered that any locations NOT yet scanned on arrival, are hidden with the same ? logo in the knowledge base. Its minor but it quirks me that the scientist magically knows of new locations for items he just scanned ;)

I agree. Having the undiscovered locations obscured rather than hidden entirely will also give the player a sense of the resource's overall scarcity.
