Airship landing ping (distance Indicator)
When your airship gets within a set distance a distance ping (parking sensor) could sound indicating how close you are to the object (ground/platform/etc) below you. The beep increasing in speed/intensity the closer you are to help prevent hard landings.

Building off others suggestions and ideas.
There are motion sensors in the game.
But they are Only Used to craft mines.
Allow them to to be used to make proximity sensors. So proximity sensors will be an in game technology that can be learned/found/earned and then added to the ship.
And being an object to be added to the ship? Maybe it can be later upgraded for greater warning distance? Earlier detection of scrapwing attacks? -

KurasuThis would be really good as a crafted item, I think. I have had more than once accidentally ramming part of my airship into a platform because of forgetting how far my 'tail end' projects, or how wide it turns. Having a crafted 'proximity sensor' would be a huge quality of life.

Rider of DarkThe rudder control has a visual marker, the orange marker in the bottom of the panel. When at four MASL above the target surface, there is no icon. At 2 MASL above the target surface, a blue anchor marker shows up. On landing, that marker turns orange, as seen in the center of the image here.
That range should get expanded. An audio alert to coincide with each marker activation would be great, too. There's plenty of alerts for other things: disease, booster activation/expiration, food, water, energy, health, oxygen.
