  Do you mean the little triangle-ish shaped one? Or the OG one we get on day 1 that requires the Membranes? I like the idea of having FFH create a NEW variant that has a pipe connection point at the bottom. This solves your suggestion but also gives us 2 new items to decorate our Ships with.

  Some of the Garden Towers spawn with a large, decayed rain collector. I wouldn't mind seeing a larger rain collector or even a room module with a exterior funnel that serves as a rain collector with a water tank.

  Personally I like Fenris's solution, a room that is both outside collector and tank that can be piped into. My whole goal, is to not have to worry about manual collection, purification or distribution, I wanna set up a completely passive/automated system by the end of my adventure so all I have to do is pick the foods I need to cook and cook it.

  A new kind of rain collector that mounts to the wall instead of set on the floor. This eases the ability to redirect captured water to a tank housed inside the ship.

  Late game you will get a water generator that is just that (exept it wont automatically purify it but that wont be too much of a bother as you can just take the water from any nearby (Autofilling) tank and fill a bunch of water refiners.

  I so desperately want to connect my rain water catcher to my water tanks. Collecting it all manually and dumping it into the tanks is such a chore!
