  recycling all things would be a great idea. though I gather so much biomass as it is from the automated systems outside my ship. I actually end up with more biomass than i can deal with.

  Everything biological is basically biomass, so growing grass is one way of getting more, but id rather see a composter of sorts where we could deposit the stuff that we dont need. This way we aren't wasting resources but instead recycling them :D

  Maybe you can recycle seeds into biomass, this will solve both problems. The "I have too much seeds" and the "I have too less biomass".

  I agree - new composting recipe for Distiller / or new Composting machine would be nice. Throw any plant or seeds or any other organic matter and after X time they are changed into biomass.

  Would be a cool idea to have biomass vines growing along the sides of your ship walls/windows/catwalk railings (kind of like jasmine plants or honeysuckle plants) They can be harvested and will re grow at a slower rate/ratio than that of garden plants under sprinklers, as the biomass will obtain their watering from being outside
