Specialized Storage - different types of storage for different groups of items
It would be great and more logical to have a dedicated storage compartment for viral samples (perhaps refrigerated) as well as for plant seeds.

KurasuAnd posters. I dislike throwing posters away, but they very, very quickly fill up storage space.
Likewise with other simple decoratives such as footballs, cones, garden gnomes, and the like. I want to be able to hoard them more efficiently. -

Storage Space. This game has not a lot.
Let's put something in the game that doesn't affect gameplay, but does allow us to satiate our OCD-collectathon habits. Like.. a Tardis Cabinet? "Bigger on the inside!". Just.. give us somewhere to put the posters and footballs when we don't want to display them. Please. -

Rider of Dark MergedThe issue I have isn't just that there are a lot of collectables. It's that it requires a lot of space to display all of them as well. A poster or two takes up an entire wall by itself. The airship effectively requires significant expansion and dedicated space to display all of these collectables. There's at least 25 different items out there to collect and display.

Felessan38 MergedMaybe have some type of collectible tag for first unique item pickup and have the item container only accept those tags, that way it doesn't become an oversized storage for everything else. It would be collectibles only. This might help in a tracking sense as well for those of us who are completionists and want to collect all the uniques.

YggdrasilMakes storage tanks for liquids possible. Not only dirty water, but also for vegetable oil, resin, fertilizer, dust fertilizer and purified water.
So that we don't have to store a lot of bottles in boxes. -

Mike Dwyer MergedAs of the 9 DEC update there are just too many collectibles presented far too soon in the game. If this bounty stays around then we really do need a very large container that only holds collectibles. Yes, you can just not pick them up, but not knowing if and when you will ever see any particular collectible again most players will just pick up what they find.

Chutzpah MergedPlease consider adding visually different storage boxes what player can use for easier resource management, for example gardening box for seeds/fertilizer, medical for medkits/other healing, exploration, etc. They can be created like current, maybe after they are placed there would be an option "Change storage type" and then player could choose variety of different options.

Serrah MergedSome time you just have a bunch of a single item. For example, 10000 plastic (I got pretty close to that once).
It would be nice to have a bulk storage container for those situations. I'm thinking something like barrels/drawers in modded minecraft.

err404r MergedReal ships and airships trying to add storage everywhere. Almost always under the floor etc.
The game could reflect this by changing airship storage design. All boxes are leading to the same storage box. Which is increasing in size for each placed room, and for each placed box.
Fridges obviously should work like before. But for everything else it could work.
Additionally for the begging of the game when the storage is the biggest issue. you might want to add ship storage access hatch. And maybe add it to the starting airship. -
