Advanced cooking
Can we have an upgraded cooking station, please? So we can prepare meals with more than one ingredient and discover some advanced recipes via experimentation?

This would be absolutely ideal. A lot of foods very quickly become completely worthless in the bigger scheme of things, leaving them as annoyances to find rather than useful. Having multiple items create a variety of recipes would potentially increase the value of things like Dust Lettuce and Patat.
Plus, it could add some 'edibility' options for less-edible things, just for the fun of it. I.E. a mix of dye flowers and/or canola being used to make a nice tea or salad. -

JaylhUltra2I think this would be great! Maybe some food creations could also keep you fuller for longer?

Salt MergedThere are many culinary masterpieces that can be created with what food we have currently. For example, we could ground up lulling crickets into a patty, use potats to make a bun and fries, and dust lettuce for toppings. Viola, burger and fries. Meteor beans and lobster peppers could make a chili. You could even combine honey with meats to make a honey glazed meal that inherits the honey's energy boost. There are so many possibilities here!

Rider of DarkAt the very least, another cooking station that focuses on long-term/-duration cooking instead of boiling. A slow cooker/crock pot. Put in stuff, cook for a day, eat portions throughout.

VuurPlease allow us to fry (since there is oil) or grill food. Allow us to mix and match ingredients for buffs.

Gadget SteelmareGods, yes please. I love cooking in survival games! Having more variety rather than just boiling everything would be so much fun.

Manny MergedThe boiling system is useful but I feel like there could be more to work with here. Maybe a later cooking station blueprint where you can mix 2 to 3 ingredients and make new meals that can have different effects, similar to the Boosters for Fatigue, Thirst and Calories. Similar to how the Amber bed rests more but loses less thirst and calories. These meals could make you lose calories or thirst more slowly, grant you resistance to certain infections for a time, add temporary extra health points and so on. Recipes could also be added to the world for players to find or can be developed through trial and error as well and over all more content for players to find out in the world.

WendellWSAI came here to give this suggestion too, when I found the coffee bean, I thought "Cool, I'll put it on the stove, because coffee bean + hot water = coffee ☕️", instead I get: Hot coffee bean, it was a little disappointing that something so simple like that couldn't be done

redrockFirst, we need to ensure that we can cook more than one coffee bean or rapeseed flower at a time. An improved cooker that can hold a stack of 10 beans, or even better, with the ability to adjust the number of beans to cook, would be a good start.
Improved recipes afterward, if you like. -

jungleman MergedHello FS Team,
Surely not all food needs to boiled? What about frying (with plant oil) or grilling?

JamesI agree, this is something Forever Skies needs. It was **too easy** to water a seed before I left to explore a derelict, and have more than enough food when I got back regardless of how hungry I got. To the degree that I never used the moth catcher again. My essential set-up was coffee beans and green colander / lobster pepper. Always topped up on hunger, only slept once in 36 hours of gameplay. The "survival" mechanics meant absolutely nothing on normal mode. Far as I'm concerned the mechanics don't exist below max nutrient burn.
My argument is: because there was no need, there was no sense of progression, and therefore no reward. Nerf boiled vegetables into the ground, add a cooking recipe that is more effort-intensive, to satisfy hunger.
Example: Vegetable - Hunger Satisfaction Before / Hunger Satisfaction After
Boiled Green Colander - 45 / 10
Salad (2 Boiled Green Colander / 1 Boiled Lobster Pepper) null / 30. -

Terror BunnyAlso, in conjunction with an big purifier that can be connected to a water source, please allow us to connect a "purified water pipe" to an upgraded cooking appliance.
