Third Ending option
How about a third ending? One where you negotiate with the AI to send the Cure to the Ark AND provide the Cure to the AI's project for human embryos to live in the underdust environment...this would be much more morally satisfying and allow more after story development. The AI's heavy duty filters could make some islands of survivability for Ark humans to live on or near the surface...

OopsLoopsThat scene was certainly a terrible conflict... I also wondered if there was a route like that.
Another idea is to defeat the AI but separate the control system, allowing the human embryos to survive, like something... But how? Can we work with the space station side? I can't imagine any other way to control a system on this scale, let alone how to raise a newborn baby. -

Frank EricksonThe scientists on the Ark could certainly be part of the solution. Perhaps there is another AI that could offer more options after getting access to our Mission and the Underdust AI's data…once the radio interference is ended...

LunaticNekoI think the endings are too flat in general. Just that? No catch? Nothing? Just choice right there, no karma system? Nothing?
My idea is to compartmentalize the ending into multiple aspects, and run a whole narrative based on that.
- How you deal with the planetary AI (Destroy, Reprogram, Comply)
- How you deal with the humans (Destroy, Ignore, Help, Manipulate, Educate)
- How you deal with the embryos (Destroy, Suspend, Help)
Obviously not all choices are available. If you comply with the AI, you have to destroy the humans. If you simply destroy the AI, the embryos are also dead. If you simply help humans, the planet they destroyed won't recover as they don't really care and dismiss the whole thing. Reconciling between all three (reprogram AI, manipulate or educate humans, and either suspending or helping embryos) should take the hardest route possible. -

gpcstargate MergedYou have a _ 2 Part ending that could work with both ending ... 1 for the AI ending as a separate play-thru ... AND ... 1 for the people on the Space Station play-thru ..... MAYBE as a DLC's collection that could be sold ... or ... added to the collection. I think they would sale, if at a reasonable price.

GorgovanPerhaps where you find another station where people made another data card that instead of killing the AI. It overrides it. Then you give it the cure and head back to a rocket platform to send the cure to the space station.
Another idea is you create a mini rocket that goes up in a weather balloon that ignites in high altitude that then heads to the station with an active beacon.
