Let the cute bugger do stuff - maybe sort the automatic extractors into containers or produce manure which can be converted into fertilizer (maybe add a toilet with a restroom to so the same)

KosmikzaMaybe it could hunt when you are anchored ( ship has the yellow anchor symbol and parked for a while) into the dust moth swarms. Bring back a moth or find random stuff.
A "feed" bowl and water bowl wouldnt hurt but if fed, less likely to hunt.
