Container for other liquids
Maybe even integrated into the pipe system for fertilizer

Greg | Community Manager AdminCan you give a more detailed description? Im not sure what you're asking for.

ChrisPCurrently there are a couple of liquids : clean/dirty water, fertilizer, plant oil and plant resin. But only the dirty water can be stored in the large tanks, the rest has to be stored in bottles with lower capacity and I have to find them in my plethora of boxes again.

ChrisPAnd once I have them in a tank, maybe they can automatically fill up the gardening pot via pipes

monteMaybe some sort of "universal tank" without pipe connectors. Like a big box for fluids like named above

MKGDXA Universal tank would nice for some automation for some things, like automatically purifying water so the player has a regular supply of potable water for drinking and cooking.

MobinI'd love a tank the same size as the current larger water tank with no attachments that can store any liquid. So you could have them all set up. But it should be a viewed in game as a storage container so crafter works from them but they should also have no pipe connections.

Jimmy Blues MergedUse the stock tanks to be able to hold more than just dirty water. Think of it, a way to hold your mass amounts of clean water, liquid oxygen, any and all fertilizers, or whatever the hell "liquid neon" is. Another thing, add a bigger water purifier that can be connected with pipes to fill said "new" tanks, could even make it run off a battery or use biomass as a filter, you could use the same setup that's in the crop plots for it just a little tweaked. You COULD add a pipe connection to the distiller to be able to pull from those as well into the dedicated tanks that way you could just pull from the tank into a bottle. Maybe even set the tank as a bottle so you can use liquids in the tanks for crafting, i.e. clean water used in making the basic paint cards or dirty water to analyze viruses, could be a big improvement on the storage side as you don't need a dedicated box JUST for bottles of this and that liquid.

Ang3l404ERR MergedLiquid storage, it's.. quite a pain sometimes, so after or during the 1.0 update, I think adding a fluid storage device that can hold any fluid (and by proxy making it easier to automate the making of say plant oil/resin/oxygen/fuel/neon/fertilizer and etc, would be great. Plus it would allow less, cluttering storage chests.
Allowing the player(s) to more easily and efficiently store and distribute fluids. -

redrock MergedSorry for the German post.
Please add tanks for all liquids to the game, which are also connected to the storage management system.
It's illogical, impractical, and inconvenient that we can only store wastewater and fuel in tanks, but have to store the other liquids in bottles.
Unlock the two water tanks for all liquids and allow all producing devices, including virus scanners and electric cookers, to access them directly, in both directions.
This can then be regulated by what's in there first. For example, if you fill the tank with oil, you can only fill it with oil as long as there's still some oil left in it, just like with bottles. Fertilizer tanks could also be connected to the water system. -

Saronin MergedSo I'm in the storage tanks should be able to store other liquids camp, but right now the only ones that would be useful if actually stored(because the use of tanks is for piping not saving space) that way are water, dirty water, and the two fertilizers(if we can pipe them into sprinklers or directly into the planters)
So I'm suggesting reasons to pipe other liquid resources to make their storage in tanks more appealing.
First would be a Auto-Distiller an upgrade to the Distiller that automatically crafts the selected recipe until space or ingredients run out.
Next would be an Auto-Crafter that can craft Epoxy or Polymer, by piping in Resin or Oil.
For Liquid Oxygen there could be a new biome a toxic cloud that requires liquid oxygen piped to some machine in order to explore, consuming the oxygen based on the number of compartments.
For Neon a machine that produces a "Power Cloud" that charges batteries and maybe even reduces battery consumption within its volume. -

Terror BunnyI just made a relevant suggestion, so I'm paste it here.
I'll use the Distiller as my example.
Simple Automation:
I would like to see an input storage, or just link to existing storage, so I can build one distiller and tell it to make organic fertilizer. In the input box I can put the ingredients (or simply say create until threshold. Then have an output hopper where it drops filled bottles and it will hold let's say 4-10 bottles, or it would get sorted into a storage container set to hold organic fertilizer.
Complex Automation:
Using fertilizer as my example still, I would like to have the distiller connected to a tank and just fill it up, then just like water, you could use a bottle to extract some of that resource. Additionally, using a Y-Merge pipe you could take a water input and a fertilizer input and have your sprinklers distribute it together. No need to deal with ratios or water and fertilizer as this isn't a farming game, but it would be a way to reduce growing stuff to a -

UnknwnRageWhat would be nice is to have a specialized room that is the same as the triple inverted cockpit but with a dedicated tank like the fuel does. But have there own dedicated composter as well as a storage box to store said required item for each liquid for the composter to pull from so we can automate the process. Maybe even a dedicated room that has 4 fixed large and small planters so we can hook them together with a single watering spout. I’m hopeful for a terrarium feel to it. Story is amazing, hoping for them to building the world bigger just like my ship!

Phoenix Cat MergedDirty water tanks should hold polymer and resin and such. I understand no clean water as it is only needed for drinking. This would save a lot of storage space of bottles filled with the other liquids. I think it would be liked by the community. Less need to make and store individual bottles. Of course I could see the cost for making a tank go up. Thanks.
